Leschi Lush View

A relocated kitchen and new steel and glass stair opened up this 80’s vintage Leschi home to sweeping views of the woodland green belt.

Best Practice was tasked with updating this 80’s vintage house, surrounded by trees in the Leschi green belt. In order to transform the main floor, several small rooms were removed and the kitchen was opened up and relocated to the center of the living space resulting in an expansive space that opens onto views of the surrounding greenery and the lake beyond. Additional changes include the creation of a new, open steel stair at the formerly enclosed circulation core with views through the kitchen to the bright dining area and cozy living space beyond.

The design of the new stair is not only an visually appealing element in the space but allows for views across the living space and to the exterior with the open steel construction and glass guardrails.
