This is the second location that Best Practice has designed for local eyewear superstars Eye Eye. Located in Seattle’s beautiful Leschi neighborhood adjacent to Lake Washington, the new space houses clinical services as well as new retail area in what was formerly a salon.

Building on the design of the original location and armed with an expanded color palette, the design team tackled the low ceilings and drab interior with bright pops of color, glass block, dichroic glazing and fun signage. The glass block walls create an interesting flow of circulation around the retail space, while providing touch down zones for fitting eyewear. Integrated into the glass block walls are niches that display glasses or house mirrors, making a dynamic system that provides lots of filtered daylight deeper into the space.

Layers of glass block wall and dichroic glass partitions filter the waiting room and pre-exam station from the retail area, giving patients a measure of privacy as they await their appointments.
