Valerie Madison Fine Jewelry has relocated to a charming 1946 building in Seattle’s Madrona neighborhood. Encouraged by the studio’s elegant aesthetic and interest in plants and geodes, Best Practice helped craft a sophisticated yet cozy showroom. Lush plants mix with velvet furniture, while custom jewel cases show off Valerie’s handmade pieces and collection of geodes. The consultation room with divided glass corner has a surprising natural quartz wall print on the interior, while a subtle gradient in soft purple hues wraps the space. New lighting and mirrors give the space a bright and inviting feel, while the actual office and manufacturing spaces are behind a velvet curtain the rear of the building. The exterior paint is an eye-catching abstract play on the initials VM.

Creating a private space for jewelry consultations was a must in this project. A glass corner is open to the lounge and allows for light to reach the small room, but maintains enough separation for private shopping.

The exterior paint is an abstraction of the letters V and M. When painted on the facade with our 2 colour scheme, we can't help but notice an arrow shape that is formed by the windows. It's a serendipitous arrow!
