Showpony

Best Practice in collaboration with Showpony owners Greg Laverseyn & Stephanie Hara, dreamt up a kiosk that offers SeaTac travelers an elevated boutique retail experience within the hustle and bustle of a large international airport. A jeweled box, the structure offers different points of porosity using fractured panels – part white oak, part clear acrylic. These various vantage points create moments of intrigue and invite shoppers to venture inside.  The interior maximizes storage within a relatively small footprint through a large white oak covered island and extensive shelving. A powder coated steel skeleton provides a structure for elegant overhead lighting and carves out space for a dressing room. Rolling carts customized for maximal retail merchandizing and kitted out with mirrors allow the boutique to expand and interact with travelers in the airport terminal. The materials – predominantly white oak and white powder coated metal – harmoniously integrate with airport architecture and allow all the bright Showpony merchandise to take center stage. A petite powerhouse, the Showpony Airport Kiosk, provides travelers with a beautifully curated retail experience anchored by unique design.
